Late Summer 2025 Media Updates

Jeremy Levy back with you to write more about media updates.

Alec Nolan who was a sales assistant at KUSA TV back in the early 2010s, has joined KTBC TV in Austin Texas a news reporter congratulations to him. I hope he enjoys reporting for KTBC.

Jace Larson who was with KUSA TV in the mid- 2000’s and then moved to KMGH channel 7 news in 2013-2016 has been named news director of KSAT TV in San Antonio. Congratulations to him for this.

Brian Dub Washington who was with KUBL and KYGO radio in Colorado for a short time is now doing a new afternoon show on KUPL radio in Portland Oregon. Good luck to him with this new show. This is interesting as he already has a national country show on the station. He seems really excited to be doing this new local show for Oregon radio fans.

K-Love radio stations have a new Chief operating officer named Bobby Wood. Bobby has worked at many college Christian radio stations. The people at K-Love are really excited to have him as a part of their team. K-love can be heard on 91.1 FM in the Denver area.

On Altitude sports radio this week, Vic Lombardi and Mark Moser are both on vacation in Italy. Brett Kain has been hosting with Mark Bertinoli. I really think that Brett and Mark make a great team together. Brett took a vacation week the first week of August. Mark Bertinoli did a great job with Mark and Vic. Mike Sandford hasn’t been on, and Rob Trigilio has been on substituting for him with Alex Raj. Andy Lindahl has been hosting with Mark Springer who is the producer of the Kreckman and Lindahl show. The previous week, Nate was broadcasting a couple of days from Las Vegas for the Mountain West college football event. He had some great interviews from this event. Nate was also gone the first week in August, and Jeff Legwold, Mark Johnson, and Mark Springer did a great job being Andy’s co-host different days.

On 104.3 KKFN radio, Josh Dover did some shows with Danny Williams. These were interesting shows to listen to.

Switching to a national sports story, Scott Farell is no longer with sports grid radio, a betting sports radio station that is broadcasted around the country. Scott did a national show for CBS sports radio in the late 2010’s. 104.3 KKFN radio carried this show. I’m trying to remember if it was 104.3 KKFN radio, or Altitude sports radio 92.5 radio that caried his show.  Scott is now doing longer formed podcasts. Good luck to Scott with this.

The last week of July is the annual motorcycle event in Sturgis, South Dakota, and Peter Boyles went to this. He goes every year to this event. I’m hoping the event went well for him. Hopefully he won’t come back with a cold as every couple of years he comes back with a cold.

Well wishes go out to Mandy Connell. On August 1st she had surgery. She was out of all week returning on Monday August 9. Krista Kafer, Jimmy Segenberger, and Greg Stone were all fill- ins for her. They all did a great job filling in for her.

On July 31 850 KOA radio celebrated being on the air for 100 years. They had a big party for this event. The KOA sports show and Bronco’s Country Tonight was broadcasting from the lobby of the event. These were classic shows to listen to. Many familiar names and voices were heard. I really wished I could have been there. I have been a loyal listener to 850 KOA radio since the early 2000’s. I will be writing a post on my memories on 850 KOA radio in the months to come.

Thanks for tuning in.
